Michael Concister, B.A., B.C.L., L.L.B., DIP. MGMT (APP.) was admitted to practice in Quebec in 1988. He is also a member of the Ontario Bar since 1996. He attended McGill University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honours in Political Science, and earned Bachelors of Civil Law and Common Law degrees from the Faculty of Law. Following his studies in law, he obtained a Graduate Diploma in Management.
Mr. Concister currently practices civil and commercial law (litigation), with a primary focus on real estate law. He began teaching real estate brokers and agents in 1991 so that they could be accredited. He has taught at the Quebec Real Estate Association, as well as at l’Association des Courtiers et Agents Immobiliers du Quebec (A.C.A.I.Q.), and is presently teaching at the Real Estate College of Quebec. He gives courses and seminars in real estate and business law.
In addition to his studies in law, Mr. Concister studied trombone at McGill’s Faculty of Music. He also studied trombone, euphonium and voice on a trombone scholarship at the Cleveland Institute of Music (Case Western Reserve University). Mr. Concister served as class president in his third year of law school and won a merit award that same year.
He was counsel to the Association of Quebec Building Inspectors, a member of the Board of Directors of the Missing Children’s Network and presently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Shaare Zion Congregation. He is married to Anne Singer, C.A. and is the father of 3 boys.
